• Sith Inquisitor Class Guide

The Sith Inquisitor is a very adaptable character, aware that long-term survival requires a few other skills, besides combat abilities. As masters of manipulation, Inquisitors are deeply infiltrated into the Sith Empire’s politics, a valuable status which they exploit to fit their personal interests. However, becoming a Sith Inquisitor requires many year of studying the Dark side of the Force and gaining unimaginable control over it.

The deep attunement with the Force allows the Inquisitor to cause massive damage on the battlefield but also avoid attacks and strike at a later, more appropriate time. With comparable skills and high capabilities of controlling the Light side of the Force, the mirror class of the Sith Inquisitor is the Jedi Consular.

The starting point of the Sith Inquisitor’s itinerary is the planet Korriban, just like for the Sith Warriors. As an accomplished Wizard, the Inquisitor draws his power from the Force, which he can easily mold into many forms of destruction.

Thanks to their dexterous ability of channeling the Force, the Sith Inquisitor can prove to be a powerful ranged DPS/support or a combination of force/melee DPS.

    Advanced Classes

Let’s talk a bit about the advanced classes available for the Sith Inquisitor, Sorcerer and Assasin.

The Sorcerer channels the dark side of the Force to gain immense power that allow him to drain the life out of his enemies and bring complete devastation.

The Assassin adopts a stealthy way of fighting attacking enemies from the shadows and crushing their opponents through channeled Force lightning.

    Sorcerer Trees

Corruption - Allows the Sorcerer to master life restoring rituals to support his allies in combat (healing skill tree).

Lightning - The Sorcerer focuses his efforts into expressing his Force as deadly blasts of lightning capable of obliterating multiple enemies at once (range DPS skill tree).

    Assassin Trees

Deception- Enables the Assassin to train in stealth combat which will allow him to rapidly cause massive amounts of damage while taking his enemies by surprise (burst melee DPS skill tree).

Darkness- Empoers the Assassin's defensive abilities for shielding himself and his allies. (tank skill tree).
The Sorcerer and the Assasin share the Madness skill tree, which grants the Inquisitor further mastery of the Force to corrupt and drain enemies. This skill tree allows Sith Inquisitors to fight using a combination of range and melee DPS abilities.

    Species

The playable species for the Sith Inquisitor are Sith Pureblood, Human, Zabrak, Rattataki and Twi’lek.

    Primary Stat

The primary stat of the Sith Inquisitor is Willpower (increases your force damage / healing). Healer or a DPS, Willpower is the stat you would need to stack most.

    Starship

The Inquisitor’s taste for luxury drove him to choose the Fury- Class Imperial Interceptor as his means of transport.
This starship features an expensive hiperdrive and sub-engine, the latest armament and extravagant interiors. The reflects the Inquisitor's character, his terror inflicting attitude and his desire for greater power.

I'm just wondering how the tanking will pan out in comparison to the other more melee based tanks... I agree though, outstanding development of this character!

Tanking for the first companion worked well for me. My brother and I duo-ed the Black Talon instance, he was a DPS Sith Warrior and I was a Heal spec Sith Inq. While were were only level 12, my tank pet held his own and only died once to each of the Elite bosses.

Deception skills (burst melee DPS) and swiftly cause massive amounts of damage to his enemies, when wielding his double-bladed Lightsaber. The Darkness proficiency (tank skill tree) will empower the Assasin’s defensive abilities for shielding himself and his allies.
Shouldn't it be vice-versa? Deception(defense) is tank oriented and Darkness is melee/dps?

Darkness is the tanking tree. Whomever has the article written up, has it marked incorrectly.

Yeah it happens, just thought I would point It out. Currently running a Darkness tank through which is why I noticed it. I have to say that gameplay wise so far it is my favorite. Although the story for the IA and Trooper are great.

Those seem to be the planets where the companions join your crew. Since getting a companion is driven solely by progressing your class storyline, the level will vary greatly from player to player. But, you can check out the planet progression guide for approximate level ranges.

You need to write in that it's only Sith Inquisitor ASSASSINS that benefit from the Madness tree to both ranged and melee, as the Madness Sorcerers tree only benefits ranged attacks and CC.

Doesn't look like the dye system is working very well.

That's actually a good analogy...Blizz and Apple....Looks like both do their own thing and won't let anybody else touch it.
