• Trooper Class Guide

    The Trooper is the strong arm of the Republic, the first and last defender, the ultimate battle machine. The troopers aren't your regular Republic Troopers, they are part of the Havoc Squad, the most elite special-forces team. The trooper relies on strong armors and heavy firepower to wreak havoc to their enemies. From rifles to two-handed cannons and grenades, the trooper packs everything it needs to handle any situation. Shortly, the Trooper is the best soldier of The Republic, the ultimate war machine.

    The trooper's main resource is ammo, which regenerates constantly or through certain abilities that the Trooper possesses. The Trooper's main role is to be a primary damage dealer or, if specced properly, the group's tank. His odyssey begins on the planet Ord Mantell, the same place where the Smuggler will commence his journey.

    The Trooper mirror class within the Sith Empire is the Bounty Hunter.




    Advanced Classes

    The two Trooper Advanced Classes are Commando and Vanguard.

    The Commando AC is the main offensive DPS tree, providing the Trooper with the abilities to deal massive damage and if specced, to heal its group members.

    The Vanguard is the Trooper's defensive class, allowing the Trooper to storm through almost any battle situation, greatly increasing its survivability.

    Commando Trees

    Gunnery – Increases the assault cannon’s destructive power (range DPS skill tree).

    Combat Medic – Provides the Commando with abilities to effectively heal its group.

    Vanguard Trees

    Tactics – Allows the Vanguard to deal more efficiently with close range foes, mastering weapons and explosives that penetrate the target's armor (DPS skill tree)

    Shield Specialist – Enhances the Vanguard’s shield generator to absorb more direct damage and to protect his allies (tank skill tree)

    The shared skill tree is Assault Specialist, which ads an increased range of shield power surges and energy blade attacks to inflict close range damage to his enemies.




    Species

    The known playable species so far are: Human, Zabrak, Mirialan and ​Cyborg.




    Primary Stat

    The primary stat of the Trooper is Aim (increases your ranged damage). Stacking as much Aim as possible, will increase your damage for DPS skill trees and boost your healing for healer skill trees, so it will be the most important stat for all AC's / skill trees.




    Starships

    The Trooper's starship is the BT-7 Thunderclap, the Republic's biggest and most effective combat ship.

    The BT-7 Thunderclap allows the Trooper to effectively intervene fast, in any type of situation. The ship has the best armors in the Republic and the latest state-of-the-art laser cannons.

      Aric doesn't use Sniper rifles.... Unless I missed something. I have however seen him using the assualt cannon.

      republic goes there but at a later level.
