Alderaan is the third planet in the Alderaan System, located in the Core Worlds. Its inhabitants make great efforts to preserve the planet’s natural beauty, presenting a large variety of landscapes, from thick forests to majestic snow-caped mountains.

History

For as long as Alderaan was part of the Republic, it benefited from many peaceful years and leaders that always placed negotiations and diplomacy ahead of war and violence. The Treaty of Coruscant forced the Alderaans to secede from the Galactic Republic and become independent, causing great tensions between the major noble houses of the planet. This fragile state eventually erupted into a bloody civil war, with the crown prince and the queen between its first victims.

While the Republic and the Sith Empire don’t have physical presence in the civil war, they have opposite interests in which noble house should end up ruling Alderaan. When the Sith began to back up House Thul, the Republic acted quickly and started to provide support to the honorable House Organa. History will eventually unravel the faith of Alderaan, and in which hands this magnificent planet will end up.
