• SWTOR Beta Client will be patched to the Early Access/Live version

    Bioware just announced that they will patch the current Beta build (Thanksgiving version) to Early Access/Live. What this means is that you will no longer need to re-download the game at launch/early access, instead, you just need to patch it.

      uhh, that's damn awesome! not only my internet connection is kinda meh, but I also have a 80 gb monthly limit.

      I just uninstalled the beta and deleted the updater. Underline just. Like literally, less than 5 minutes ago.

      Great news for a lot of people. I am lucky that I do not have a download limit. I will be doing a clean install.

      I can't wait until this game launches.

      Good to know. Although I think I'll be performing a fresh install regardless. I put the beta client on my 1 TB storage drive instead of my SSD drive. Definitely going to want it on the SSD for launch!

      So pumped!

      I'm keeping it on this one. Later on I'll probably do a fresh install. But I'm planning on putting 40-50 hours of play time in on the first week so unless I'm not in on the first two days of the Early Access I'll do just the patch.

      I think I will now go with the patches for the early access, but when I get my game disks, do a delete and reinstall then.

      I will also go with the Beta version. I'll do a fresh reinstall when I'll get a better connection - downloading the game in 5-6 hours it's not so nice
