Datacrons Guide: Locations and Info [Updated]

Datacrons are small cubes that are hidden in various hard to access places.

Any player can interact with the Datacrons, it's not class/allegiance dependent, just a matter of finding them. Interacting with a Datacron will allow you to discover a new codex entry and/or permanently buff your character with a base stat.

Keep in mind that certain Datacrons can give you a Matrix Shard instead of a stat buff, which can be used to build a Matrix Cube. A Matrix Cube can be equipped in one of your 3 relic slots.

Datacrons are categorized by colors:

- Orange: + Cunning
- Red: + Strength
- Green: +Endurance
- Purple: +Willpower
- White: +Aim
- Yellow: +Presence

or they can be Shard Datacrons, which will give you a Matrix Shard instead. For more details go to the our Matrix Cubes/Relics guide.

Datacrons are easy to spot since they emit a powerful glow (as you can see from the screenshot). As you probably figured by now, Datacrons add a great value to your character and since it's important not to miss them, we have some community driven Datacrons Location guides that you'll find interesting. Here's th up-to-date compiled list (you can also visit each Planet's Datacrons using the site's top menu). We've also added the datacrons by class chart, so it's easier for you to get them all.

Awesome post vexx! I have to apologize though because I can't bring myself to read it it's so tempting, but for the first couple months at least I want to try and find them on my own with friends ^^; this has definitely been favorited though for if we eventually give up the hunt!

While they are not too hard to find, getting to them seems like it can be a pain. A couple of times I saw the light of one of them just ahead of me, but it took 47 miles of detours to get to it , when is was only 100 feet as the crow flies! LOL

Dec. 11 2011, 20:16 CST, I can't get either link to work in either Firefox or IE. Both give a VB error. Just an FYI and thanks for the data. I know it will be useful to me.

I just wanted to say that I as well can't open the link I see that others are having the same problem, so I hope it can be fixed. Thanks for making this list though, I'm sure it will help me a lot when I use it in the future

They didn't open for me initially either but for some reason worked when I refreshed...though that isn't working now.

hmm, weird problems..can any of you guys tell me what was the error? from my side everything is ok, so I don't know what exactly should I fix hehe

I get a this page cannot be displayed error. And the address bar has a VB command in it. Every time I try to paste the vb command from the address bar here in the comments, my comment won't post.

Sometimes I just leads to the generic "about:blank" page. Though other times it seems to go just fine.
