• Datacrons Guide: Locations and Info [Updated]

Datacrons are small cubes that are hidden in various hard to access places.

Any player can interact with the Datacrons, it's not class/allegiance dependent, just a matter of finding them. Interacting with a Datacron will allow you to discover a new codex entry and/or permanently buff your character with a base stat.

Keep in mind that certain Datacrons can give you a Matrix Shard instead of a stat buff, which can be used to build a Matrix Cube. A Matrix Cube can be equipped in one of your 3 relic slots.

    Datacrons are categorized by colors:

    - Orange: + Cunning
    - Red: + Strength
    - Green: +Endurance
    - Purple: +Willpower
    - White: +Aim
    - Yellow: +Presence

or they can be Shard Datacrons, which will give you a Matrix Shard instead. For more details go to the our Matrix Cubes/Relics guide.

Datacrons are easy to spot since they emit a powerful glow (as you can see from the screenshot). As you probably figured by now, Datacrons add a great value to your character and since it's important not to miss them, we have some community driven Datacrons Location guides that you'll find interesting. Here's th up-to-date compiled list (you can also visit each Planet's Datacrons using the site's top menu). We've also added the datacrons by class chart, so it's easier for you to get them all.

if I'm still on page 1 on the comments the links are "vb:showthread/t=575" and "vb:showthread/t=577" - if I switch to page 2 or click 'last' they change to:
      "http //www oldrepublic net/vb:showthread/t=575" and "http //www oldrepublic net/vb:showthread/t=577"

(had to remove . and : still can't post any links)

Both can't be resolved, while the first version gives me a direct error, the 2nd url opens at least a new window and 'page not found'. They were functional just yesterday. (FF8 and disabled adblock)

edit: nevermind, looks like you just changed them - working again, ty ^^

I registered just so I could post this.

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (vb) isn't associated with any program.

Upon googling this (VB) is technically a visual basic protocol that can only be opened by IE. Sadly this didn't work in IE when I tried it either. It simply gives me the generic webpage cannot be displayed error page.

Please fix this to a working format so we can all enjoy it!

These were fun to find on the beta. The only tip I have for you is that when you jump for some of these hit space first then move forward....if you try to move forward then jump after you will miss...it almost like moving forward at the arc of the jump.

Great article! I found one of these in beta and wondered what's up with them. And indeed, the links don't work (tried on Chrome and IE), altough, yesterday when I took a quick look, the Empire Datacrons Locations link worked for me. Cheers!

Doesn't look like the dye system is working very well.

That's actually a good analogy...Blizz and Apple....Looks like both do their own thing and won't let anybody else touch it.
