We already mentioned in one of our previous articles that Datacrons can either provide a permanent boost to a stat or a Matrix Shard which can be used to create Matrix Cubes (relic items that can offer significant stat boosts to your character). Now we will try to shed some light on this aspect so you can get a better idea on how to create Matrix Cubes with Matrix Shards, what is the purpose of Matrix Cubes along with detailed info that will guide you into using them properly.
The significance of Matrix Cubes
To begin with, Matrix Cubes are items that can be used on the relic slots of your character and boost multiple stats. Matrix Shards come in four colors: red, blue, yellow and green. By using three Matrix Shards (in whatever combination of colors) you can create a Matrix Cube.
Currently, there are four tiers of Matrix cubes at levels 15, 24, 32 and 50 and it has been noticed that high level cubes are made from shards of same color, while lower levels from two or three color combinations.
Here is the currently known list of Matrix Cubes color combinations:
Level 15
Blue, Yellow, Green = 11 Strength, 14 Endurance
Red, Blue, Yellow = 18 Strength, 8 Endurance
Red, Blue, Green = 18 Aim, 8 Endurance
Red, Yellow, Green = 8 Endurance, 18 Willpower
Level 24
Blue, Yellow, Yellow= 19 Aim, 24 Endurance
Green, Blue, Blue = 28 Aim, 14 Endurance
Green, Yellow, Yellow= 28 Cunning, 14 Endurance
Red, Blue, Blue= 19 Willpower, 24 Endurance
Red, Yellow, Yellow = 19 Strength, 24 Endurance
Yellow, Blue, Blue = 19 Strength, 24 Endurance
Level 32
Blue, Green, Green = 29 Aim, 33 Endurance
Blue, Red, Red = 29 Willpower, 33 Endurance
Green, Red, Red= 39 Aim, 23 Endurance
Red, Green, Green= 23 Endurance, 39 Cunning
Yellow, Red, Red= 29 Strength, 33 Endurance
Yellow, Green, Green = 29 Strength, 33 Endurance
Level 50 – Force Users
Green, Green, Green= 58 Strength, 50 Endurance, 24 Critical
Red, Red, Red = 58 Willpower, 50 Endurance, 24 Critical
Yellow, Yellow, Yellow = 52 Strength, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense
Level 50 – Tech Users

Red, Red, Red = 72 Cunning, 48 Endurance, 7 Critical
Yellow, Yellow, Yellow = 52 Aim, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense
Assembling and disassembling Matrix Cubes
A Matrix Cube can be assembled from three Matrix Shards and you will have to be on one of the capital planets, namely on Dromund Kaas (for the Empire) in the Ancient Assembly Chamber or on Coruscant (for the Republic) in the Lost Assembly Vault. Still, you can only have one Matrix Cube at the same time so you’ll first need to disassemble the one you already have if that is the case and then create the new one. To start the assembly process all you have to do is choose the Matrix Shards colors you wish to combine for each of the three pillars and confirm your choice.
Matrix Cubes can also be disassembled in the same areas as the assembler. To power the Dissasembler you will need to purchase a Reconfigured Dissasembler Core from certain vendors which can be found on Tatooine in Ancorhead for the Republic and in Mos Isla for the Empire priced at 20.000 credits (rather expensive, at least for low level characters).Matrix Amplifier, Matrix Emitter and Matrix Prism
The Matrix Amplifier, Matrix Emitter and Matrix Prism are items used to modify Matrix Cubes during their creation process. There is very little data about these items but we do know you can get them through the Archaeology gathering skill and can be dropped by some creatures.
