Artifice Leveling Guide: The Fastest Way

Artifice is the crafting skill that enables you to create single and double-bladed lightsabers, lightsaber mods, enhancements, generators and focii. The crafting materials used by Artifice are provided through the Archaeology gathering skill and Treasure Hunting mission skill.

This guide lists the items and crafting materials you need in order to get Artifice to max level cheap and fast. Please note that all items will give 2 skill points, but only if they are crafted in the appropriate skill range. Remember when calculating the mats, that Reverse Engineering gives you a fair amount back.

Does it matter which type of hilt and stuff you decide to make really? I'm lvling this on my mara and I'd prefer the might hilt.

As long as it requires the same materials to craft it, you can make which hilt suits you better. It will be the same deal

No it doesn't matter as long as the matts are the same. This guide shows you the 'cheapest' way to level it up, but you can sub hilt's for example if u need to use a different one.

Cool that's what I thought because I tried a couple different ones, just wanted to make sure there wasn't some added benefit to certain types of items. Thanks!

I have taken Underworld Trading for my Guardian (Synthweaving) but I see that the items granted (Artifact fragments etc) are the same with Treasure Hunting, can someone verify that????

In the title for Artiface it say it lets you create "single and double-bladed lightsabers, lightsaber mods," however I'm at 350 for Artifcace now and can still only create Hilts/Enhancments and Colour Crystals....Am I missing something?

Get to 400 and you get the good stuff.

Treasure Hunting has a chance of finding single and double saber schemamtics. The first ones I found required your Artifice skill to be 100. I've found more since then. Basically creates a blank saber that you can plug other mods into.
