The Pink LightsaberUnfolding the mystery of the Magenta Adegan Crystal
This guide will answer the question: “How do I get the special ingredient for the pink lightsaber?” or as BioWare calls it, magenta - to me it’s pink.
First of all you will need the recipe for this crystal, which is a drop of the level 50 world boss on Belsavis called The Primal Destroyer. It has a chance to drop three different schematics, all being pink color crystals. The three schematics are:
1. Schematic: Advanced Magenta Lethal Crystal
2. Schematic: Advanced Magenta Resonating Crystal
3. Schematic: Advanced Intrepidity Crystal
I have not yet encountered this world boss, so I cannot tell you how it plays out, but I am told it is not too hard, tho you need quite a few to kill it. The schematics are Bind on Pick-up, but the crystals are not, which means if you have a trusted artificer who can craft these, you only need to get the special ingredient to do so, which this guide will tell you how to obtain.
How do I get the Magenta Adegan Crystal?
When you learn this schematic as an artificer, you will see that you need an unusual reagent, the Magenta Adegan Crystal - this crystal is obtained through a small puzzle. Furthermore this is obtainable by both The Republic and The Empire, level 50 players. The guide will take the perspective of an Empire play, as any of my guides do, since I'm an Imperial Agent.
Tatooine
The first thing you need to do is travel to Tatooine. When you land here travel to Jundland, look for water towers, they are spread out all over the Jundland desert, near the Republic and Empire bases. On the side of these water towers you will see a square panel, click it to get a buff on your character called “Refreshed and sustained”, when you have this buff your done on Tatooine. This picture will show what the water tower looks like.
Hoth
Travel to Hoth, from the arrival location, use the Speeder to travel to “Leth Outpost”. From the speeder's landing post, move up the mountain, keep going until you reach the top, when you see snow starts to fall, your buff from Tatooine will disappear - now open your inventory and you will see a small glass with crystal blue water in it called Pure Shockfrozen Water. It is this glass that will, in the end, be your tool to get the crystal reagent for the schematic. For republic, I am not sure where exactly you travel, but I'll add a picture here, which will show you where the mountain peak is - should be easy accessible for you too.
- Some of you might already gotten this little wondrous glass, because until recently it was also useable as a out-of-combat heal, it healed you for 50% of you hit points, and was not consumed on use. This was also used in Warzones to gain 2.5k / 5k healing medals and 75k healing done. This was perfect for classes with no healing abilities. We agreed not to post this bug, since we do not encourage bug abuse on this site nor do we inform of them. It is consumed on use now, but the effect remains the same.
Ilum
Travel to Ilum, make your way to the Western Jedi Ruins, which is southwest of the Imperial Waystation (coordinates: 550, 50). Here you will see a white crystal. When you click on this crystal an angry ghost will awake and charge you. He is the guardian of the pink crystals, called The Force Ghost who is a level 50 champion.
He is not too hard, we killed him off as a group (4). Nothing to add about him, he is the usual “Tank and spank” fight, he hits pretty hard, but has only 215k hit points. It’s a fast fight.
Upon death, a small crystal formation will spawn at his corpse, these white crystals are click-able, but without the Pure Shockfrozen Water in your inventory, nothing happens. Everyone who has the Pure Shockfrozen Water in their inventory will be able to use it on the crystal formation to get a Magenta Adegan Crystal, which is the secret obtainable reagent to craft the pink color crystal.
