Loot Charts: Columi and Rakata gear drops

This is good info, but just 1 question. What is the difference between Rakata and Columi? Is 1 better then the other? All the same?

And what about PvP armor? Can you use PvP armor (lets say champion) in PvE (for flashpoints/operations?)

I don't know this, since I haven't reached lvl50 yet (played a trooper till lvl 42, then played a sniper to lvl 34 then a bh to lvl 20, then a marauder to lvl 35 and now I'm sticking with the Marauder)
I would love to know this before I get to lvl 50 so I know which gear I should get for what purpose! Thanks

Rakata is the tier 3 PVE armor. Yes it is better than Columni

and yes you can use PVP armor for FP's. However PVP gear has an expertise stat that is completely useless in PVE. While you are in PVP though damage reduction/increased damage/healing increase come from this expertise rating.

That said, you can buy PvP armor, rip out the mods/enhancement, and slap it into orange armor. Then just buy the Armoring mod with Daily commendations, and you have gear that's equal and sometimes better than Tionese gear (T1).

I geared by PvPing when I was alone, and FP's while with friends. Alone I could fill in wholes in my armor sets (after I had acquired my actual PvP armor), with orange items and daily commendations.

The daily quests and daily herorics also provide a path to gearing, that will get you some nice starter slots, as well as get you the T3 implants / ear pieces.

That said the T1 PvP implants and earpieces can all be bought in a single day with a little leg work, and can tide you over for a long time while you save up your daily tokens. Alternately there are solid PvP implants and earpieces on the AH that are right around Tier 1 for relatively cheap.

I found the quickest path for me was a mixture, grab the upgraded hilt and armoring from daily coms, grab the enhancements, mods, implants, and ear piece from PvP gear, then slap all of the above into orange gear. That basically puts you at T1 without losing stat points to Expertise. All of the above can largely be done solo - which is nice if you lack a guild, or your friends heavily outgear you and don't feel like going backwards.

If you're DPS, the PvP weapons hit exceptionally hard, and will be a big upgrade until you hit Operations - and that's just a fact.

Also, PvP is a good way to build commendations for bags/gear for when you hit 50 if you do it while leveling. I've got a BH that's almost 30 with 3 of the 5 level 40 orange pieces you can buy with commendations, and valor level 14. I should be close to valor level 30 or 40 by the time I hit level 50, which will give me a leg up on gearing for either PvE or PvP, and will likely max out my commendations long before then.

I'm seeing the same thing with a lot of other players on the server I'm on, where tons PvP level while doing class quests/essentials outside of it when needed. Its good experience and good money. I'm on a heavy Empire server, though, so its a lot of huttball. When I do get voidstar/alderaan, its a 50/50 shot at winning, since the republic players get a lot more of those than huttball.

He doesn't drop Columi/Rakata tokens. He is the source of relics with procs on them.

Because this guide is only about Columi and Rakata loot, which he drops nothing of.

Also Soa on normal drops Columi Chest token. Soa on HM/NMM drops Columi Mainhand token. Your chart is wrong.

Are the nightmare drops the same as HM?

Addressing issues, found a few mistakes in the charts. For now the Flashpoint [HM] is correct, you can use that. Fixing operation once. Stay tuned.

Soa drop is corrected now (and that was the only thing wrong in the charts).
As for the HM Operation chart, it says with red in the title there "Rakata Loot List", which basically means it was made for Rakata loot, not Columi

PLEASE PLEASE people, don't use T2 and T3 for Columi and Rakata. Those are all part of Tier 1 set, along with the Tionese, as they share the same bonuses and are awarded in the same operations.

Tier 2 will come later.

Will have to agree with this, I usually call them. T1.1 T1.2 T1.3

might want to fix the spelling for Boarding Party from Boardina
