Tatooine Datacrons Locations

There are a total of 6 Datacrons located on Tatooine, one for the Republic, one for the Empire and four shared ones.

Datacron 1 - Empire Only

Codex Entry - Galactic History 39: The Third Great Schism

Coordinates: 728, 3133

This Datacron is located in Mos Illa, on top of the bank. However, you’ll have to start your journey at approximately 446, 3137 (first image). Follow the rocky path around the building found on the left side of the main road. Behind the building there is a red triangular street canvas. Cross the narrow cable that leads to it and go towards the left corner of the canvas. This will get you on top of a building. Continue to go left and at the building’s end you will see a wall on your right. Jump on the wall and just follow the wall around (first east then south) until you arrive in a narrow space between a tower and the building on your left. Jump on the beams in front of you.

At your right you will see a pipe on the wall. Jump on it and then on the walkway at the top of the wall. Go all the way to the other side where you’ll have to perform a few more jumps on pipes and other structures while following the wall until you reach a walkway on your right. Cross it, jump on top of the building and head forward then around the left corner. Now move forward again and jump on another building roof. You’re almost there! Move leftwards and you’ll see the Datacron on the roof below.

Codex Entry - Galactic History 39: The Third Great Schism

Coordinates: 2139, -3673

The path to this Datacron starts outside Anchorhead at the northeastern corner of the wall (approximately 1621, -3719) that surrounds the settlement (also shown in the first image). Jump up, cross the northern wall and follow the path shown in the first image. You’ll have to jump from one building to another and onto a few street canvases but none of these jumps are too difficult and most of them are easier to do while mounted.

Codex Entry - Galactic History 42: The Nevoota Extinction

Coordinates: 2073, -577

The Datacron is located in eastern Jundland, at the opening of a cave in the desert. At approximately 2069, -426 on the western side of the main road there is a rocky area with cliffs (see map location in the first image and the actuall cliffs in the second image). When you look down you’ll have to see a large rocky ledge. You’ll have to drop down twice and heal yourself in between (just to be on the safe side) to get there. That ledge marks the entrance of a cave full of level 28 mobs, elites included. The cave is hidden and doesn’t show on the map, not even when you enter it. Now all you have to do is clear your way to the other end of the cave and the Datacron will be right outside it (third image).







Datacron 4 - Republic and Empire

Codex Entry - Galactic History 38: The Tyrant of Onderon

Coordinates: -628, -26

The Datacron is located in The Dune Sea area but the journey for it starts in Jundland, the Transport Ship Crash Site heroic area. Go at approximately -609, -51 on the edge of the cliff (see the first two images). If you look down you’ll see the Datacron glowing on a platform (third image). Carefully jump from ledge to ledge to get to it.











Datacron 5 & 6 - Republic and Empire

Coordinates: -2391, -1381

These two Datacrons are both located in The Dune Sea area on top of a Sandcrawler (first image). There is a balloon moving in a circle between the Sandcrawler where the Datacrons are found and another one located at approximately -2390, -27 in the south-western corner of The Dune Sea area. To get to the Datacrons you must go at the coordinates mentioned above and wait for the balloon on top of the Sandcrawler (a full circle is done in about 40 minutes so it can be a long waiting time).

Just be careful when jumping on the balloon and from the balloon onto the second Sandcrawler….if you fall you’ll have to wait another 40 minutes. The Blue Matrix Shard is at the top of the Sandcrawler and the Strength Datacron is located on a ledge on its side (second image).
