Taris Datacrons Locations

There is a total of 7 Datacrons on Taris: 2 for the Empire, 2 for the Republic and three of them are shared.

Datacron 1 – Republic and Empire

Coordinates: -1511, -260

The Datacron is located in the Republic Ressetlement Zone – Lower City Ruins area. The path to this Datacron starts at -1370, -208 (first image). Here you will have to jump onto a wall ledge and follow it until you get to a very large, rusty pipe. There is another smaller pipe (second image) that leads to another ledge (the jump on this pipe works best without sprint). Once you’re on that ledge follow it around and drop down on the large platform below. In the middle of the platform there is a hole that you have to jump in. One more jump in the large pipe below and the Datacron is yours.

Coordinates: -362, -227

The starting point for this Datacron is in the Sinking City Area at approximately -444, -375 - the entrance of Dynamet General Hospital (first image). Go inside and you’ll see some boxes at the location shown in the second image. Behind them, there is a secret passage that will get you in the Dynamet General Hospital – Emergency Exit area. Now all you have to do is go to the upper level where the Datacron is located (third image).









Datacron 3 – Republic and Empire

Coordinates: 1055, 458

For this Datacron you’ll have to go in the Tularan Marsh area. The starting point is a pipe located at 1182, 263 (see first and second image). Run up the pipe, turn left and cross the walkway. Get on the wall ledge and follow it southwest. At its end, jump on the large platform below and move forward until you get to a wall with two platforms sticking from it – a small dark grey one and a larger light brown one (at your right you should be able to see the Datacron glowing in the distance).

Jump from one platform to another (easy to do it while mounted) and continue moving forward with the wall on your left. At the light brown platform’s end there will be a wide walkway to your right. Jump on it (again easy to do while mounted) and proceed with caution (the walkway has a gap and you’ll have to make another jump soon – still mounted). Cross the walkway and you’ll get onto another light brown platform. Go at it’s right side and keep that direction jumping from one structure onto another (the first jump can be done while mounted, the second one works best on foot with Sprint turned off) until you get to a wall. Go on its left side and follow it around the corner. This will take you to another dark grey walkway. Cross it and at the other end go left on the light grey platform until you get to a column. Follow the column’s ledge around the corner and you’re there. The Datacron is just a few steps in front of you on a triangular platform.







Datacron 4 – Republic and Empire

Coordinates: 1187, -572

This Datacron is located in Tularan Marsh – Transport Station 5 area. To get there you must first go at 392, 8 where you’ll find the entrance to a tunnel full of level 32-33 mobs (first image). The Datacron is located in the extreme northeastern room up on a platform (second image). To get there you must run up a pipe (third image) and make two easy jumps from one platform to another.









Datacron 5 – Republic Only

Green Matrix Shard

Codex Entry - Galactic History 27: The Great Hyperspace War

Coordinates: 1059, 1039

This Datacron requires two people to obtain it. The starting point for the Green Matrix Shard is the Tularan Marsh area. Go to the southern extremity of the area to enter the Abandoned Power Plant (first image). Once inside you will find a console and a platform in front of it (second image). One player must stand on the platform (at about 1062, -187) and the other one has to operate the console and launch him into the air. The purpose of the launch is to get the player onto a large pipe above. It can take a few tries before you figure out the proper positioning. Once you're on the pipe, all you have to do is run towards the Datacron, jump on the platform east of the Datacron and then finally jump on the one where the Datacron is.







Datacron 6 – Empire Only

Codex Entry - Galactic History 50: Basilisk

Coordinates: 440, -773

For this Datacron you have to go to The Sinking City – Jedi Enclave Excavation Site at approximately 360, -90. There you will have to climb a large collapsed beam all the way to the top then drop down onto the walkway below it (first and second image). From there run south (the map’s south not yours) on the right edge of the walkway until it meets with a wall. Jump on it and run towards the end that connects to a steel beam. There will be a wall in front of you with another beam sticking out of it to your left. You’ll have to jump on it but make sure you have Sprint turned on before making it…this is a tricky jump and you will have to start all over again if you fall. Ok…so you made it! Now follow the walkway up to the wall, go around it on the left side and you’ll get to another broken walkway. It has a pointy end…..from there you’ll have to use your jumping skills again. Look below and a bit to your right…you’ll see a small ledge sticking out of the wall. This is another tricky jump and it works best with Sprint on.

One more jump (this one is easy) to get to the wall ledge in front of you. Then follow it around the corner on your left. At the next corner, look forward and below (north on the map). You will see a distorted walkway with a pointy end. This is the last tricky jump that can be done with Sprint active just like the other ones. Now follow the walkway up to the wall and go left on the light grey platform. Once you get around the corner you’ll be seeing the Datacron. Just be careful, this platform has a narrow gap in the middle. It’s easy to cross but you can fall if you don’t notice it.







Datacron 7 – Empire Only

Codex Entry - Galactic History 52: Exar Kun Faces Korriban

Coordinates: -642, 1606

This Datacron is located inside the Abandoned Pirate Cave. The entrance to the cave is in the south-west of the Brell Sediment Area (first image). Go to the other side of the cave and take the elevator down to the Republic Mines (second image). Now you’ll have to climb your way to the Datacron. This starts at a bulldozer like shown in the third image. Get on the bulldozer, then onto the shelf with crates. From there jump onto the large pipe then onto a platform with crates. Now jump on the pipes along the wall and then on the brown large container. Move along the container and you’ll get to another set of smaller crates. Jump on these too and from there on the next container. You will get to a set of small crates and a pipe along the wall on your left. Get on the crates, then jump on the pipe and follow it south onto the platform there. From this platform jump onto the next one (east on the map). Another jump onto the container then the final one onto the platform with the Datacron below it and you’re home free!
