This week's Community Q&A continues to focus on questions about features and systems already present in-game. Also, the next Q&A, with an emphasis on Game Update 1.3, has been scheduled for May 25th. The devs felt it's appropriate to allow more time for questions to accumulate and avoid answering to the same ones repeatedly.

nakomaru: You have mentioned DPS, healing and tanking "targets" as objective methods of balancing the roles in the game. Are there hybrid targets (e.g. healing & dps spec) as well? It seems some hybrid specs are viable on certain classes and out of the question on others. I suppose this has to do with objectively balancing lower tier skills across the classes.

BioWare's David Hunt (Systems Designer) participated in a Q&A on the official forums, regarding the possibility to implement Augment slots on any type of gear, one of the most exciting features of the future Game Update 1.3:

The may 9th unscheduled maintenance has been postponed for the next day. We are looking forward to see the Matrix Cube bug and other important issues fixed tomorrow. Here is BioWare's official announcement:

As a result of the unforseen issues that appeared post patch 1.2.3 (more info here), BioWare will deploy a patch on May 9th:

Today, BioWare's patch 1.2.3 came with some very needed fixes such as the cover bug, channeled abilities and GTN issues. Sadly, it also came with a negative surprise: from what it seems, Matrix Cubes have simply vanished without a trace for players that had it equipped. Apparently, characters that were holding it in their inventory were not affected and the Matrix Cube is still there. We asked around 20-25 people on Fleet today about the item and sadly, the bug is confirmed.

DarthZaul: Other than the planned Hutt takeover of all GTNs (which will make them all neutral), do you have further plans to improve the economy? Below level 49 it is almost nonexistent. The crafting changes in 1.2 were supposed to improve it but instead they just gave people more incentive to RE everything they make instead of put it on the GTN. I had to make enough characters with different crew skills to create a self-sufficient Legacy economy, making all my own armor, mods, and stims/medpacks because there are none available to buy.

As you guys already know, we've been using Torhead as our main SWTOR database for a while now. Well, we felt that it's time for a change. Don't get us wrong, we don't hate Torhead in any way, it's just that we feel Torhead's dropping the ball a bit and we really love to give you guys the most updated guides (items included), news and anything SWTOR based. Torhead has some neat features, such as the 3D model viewer but frankly, that's about it. They lack alot of 1.2 items and some TH's items were simply removed from the game...in Beta. We tried to contact Torhead a couple of times...with no answer....so, it's time for a new baby.
