Flashpoints and Operations

General

- Players will no longer be prevented from travelling to their group's in a Flashpoint or Operation due to the instance being full.

Group Finder

- Group Finder now retains a character's role selections when joining or leaving a group.

Items

General

- The event outfits (the Rakghoul Containment outfit and Sand People Bloodguard outfit) now bind to Legacy instead of binding on pickup.
- Muse Vestments no longer clip incorrectly with character heads.
- Helmets, circlets, masks, and visors now display correctly on Miralukan characters, hiding the Miralukan mask.

Legacy

- Legacy names are no longer unique. New Legacies that are created are now able to use a name that is already in use on the server. All players will be able to rename their Legacies once, at no cost, in a future update.

UI

- Made minor cosmetic changes to the Character Selection and Character Creation UI.

The Legacy name change is a bad idea. How many F-ing Skywalkers, Solos, Fetts will you be able to stomach? It totally takes away from the uniqueness of your "house."

What group of assholes were screaming for everyone to be able to use the sage goddam Legacy name? "F" those assholes. AND "F" BW for pulling this shit.

Ha! I'm a bit perturbed. I really don't think there's any chance of someone taking my Legacy name (Roaderhaard), but I would hate everyone be called Skywalker, Organa, Fett, and so on. For me, picking a name in any game (computer or pen-and-paper) usually takes though and has some meaning to me. I am personally attached to that name on some way.

I think Chad Ochocinco has a cool name, but I wouldn't take it for my own. I have my own, passed down generation to generation. Letting every braindead, unimaginative moron become Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, Loook Skywalker, Luuk Skywalker, Loock Skywalker, and every other iteration of the same name is absurd and that is what we will have. In addition to the ~ and inflected versions of the names we are beset upon with (shit you can't type in to chat). 10k Skywalkers, 10k Revans, 10k Vaders, and on and on. Might as well have gotten rid of the Legacy name choice and make everyone named "Clone" for their Legacy name because now, your name has absolutely no meaning to it. Good day Mr. Chang, Smith, Jones, etc....

...Well, roleplayers, for one, might want to have the same name as their in-game relatives, spouses and so on. On the other hand, they might want different surnames for each character they have.

And it's not like surnames are unique in the real world.

I would rather see people called Fett or Solo than all the Fétt, Fëtt, Sölo, Sòlo and so on.

I have to agree with Kneroni, I'd rather see names with pure ascii chars only if only for the ease of typing into chat (I just don't remember the key combinations for those accented, umlauted and other chars).

They really didn't have much choice on the legacy name thing. With all the people who left, those names are still "in use" and will be until those accounts get purged after some period of inactivity.

As far as picking canon SW names, that's pretty much not allowed and I know certain people have had to change their names because of it. But I don't know how much it is policed anymore. On top of that, I'm not sure it's worth the effort to do so. I'd rather have them answer tickets than making sure someone isn't named Anakin Skywalker.

While I can see the bad in the Legacy name-change, it will be good for people/families who play together, such as my guy and me. As it stands now, we made similar Legacy names, only one letter off, but now he'll be able to be part of mine, and I like that.
