Vexx, this is really important. will you sticky this until they fix this bug so everyone can be warned? It is the "Heads Up - bug with companion gear thread"

The wrist works just fine. However, you are correct that the implants and the earpieces don't work unless you unequip them into your bag and re-equip them. They do lose the bonuses if they are "dismissed" in any fashion so you must go through the whole procedure again.
