companion affection level up, which one?

I have a few companions now and i know that at some point they will give side missions, since they also have a small story of their own?

Which is the most fun to get top affection?

Also any tips of upgrading the affections faster way, since i have the feeling that the affection for sith inquisitor are quite hard to level up. (Got a bounty hunter level 36 and almost maxed out on mako her affection)

I have the affection maxed up with all my companions and it's pretty easy with a Mission Crew Skill.
Imo Ashara Zavros was the most fun and Andronikos Revel as second

While out and about yes granted you can level them up. I have UT and hence get a lot of companiuon gifts so using them to boost my 3rd toons companion ratings. After having success with majority of the guide and then having this hiccup on the ia operative.
That why I was about the items and the levels indicated... if they are right then vector is just been weird for me

Since you have Treasure Hunting, I'd work on Talos's affection sooner than later after you get him as he has a bonus for it and tends to bring back more relics, purple gemstones, etc. when you send him out. Definitely worth it.

I'm working on Talos' affection as I level, but he's making me too much of a goodie-two-shoes. I'm going to have to start questing with Khem again and killing orphans or something. Its not like I'm trying to be DS5 or something. I just want to be a solid DS1 for the crazy orange eyes

Beyond that, Ashara seems to be the hardest to level via questing, but I think she's a lot like Talos, from a choices perspective. I'm definately going to level her up via gifts though. Between treasure hunting on my Inquistor and Investigation on my Agent, I have gifts coming out of my ears.

If you do the Belsavis dailies, there are a lot of chances to increase his affection without being too prissy about it. You just have to respond positively to the archaeology-centric encounters and you can level it up fairly fast.

Blivengo has the right idea. It's possible to get 250-300 affection a day from the Belsavis dailies without any dark / light implications on some companions. I have a BH and normally quest with Mako for the heals. However, I've already maxed affection with her so I always summon Blizz before collecting the Belsavis daily quests. I figured out which conversation choices work best for him which at +55 affection per choice add up in a hurry. Once I've accepted the quests, I re-summon Mako to complete them. Blizz still gets the affection gains when you turn the quests in. This is great for when you reach the high 40s onwards.

While levelling, gifts are the way to go. As you've already noticed levelling your mission skills provides a surplus of these. Use the guide on OldRepublic.net to match them up to the correct companion and away you go.

Whenever I get / got a new companion I'd always buy enough level 1 gifts from the vendor in the fleet to get them over 2000 affection *before* I started talking to them. Level 1 gifts are 200cr a pop and if you get the correct gifts, give 96aff each. It costs just over 4k to go from zero to ~2k aff using this method. You can buy enough level 2 gifts to take affection over 4k if you like but I am too much of a tightwad for that.

The reason I do this before talking to the companion is that their conversations always give the same amount of affection regardless of what their current level of affection is. So conversation #1 with Khem always provides +100aff (for arguments sake) whether you have that conversation when his affection rating is 100 or 5000. Since you can buy the first 2000 affection cheaply why not save those conversation affection points to use later?

    Just my two cents...
