Assassin - PVP spec?

what's the best pvp spec for dps

It really depends on how you're wanting to play. I personally use Deception (that's the dps one I believe, always mixing them up) and am loving it. Madness gives you some range with instant dots and AoE abilities along with a little self-healing mixed in.

I play starting off the game using Dark Charge with a shield to get some protection medals and switch to Surging for higher dps.

The biggest question is: do you want to be more assassin-esque and be right in the middle of things or do you prefer to hang back and use a few dots in between melee abilities?

As of currently, there is no "best" spec because we have no numbers to back up any speculation.

How would the tank spec hold up in your opinon.

I can't say much my assassin tank is only lvl 26 but I think it holds up alright I usually get all the protection medals and still get 150k plus damage depending on rotation and situation I usually get 7 to 9 metals a match and to me I have a lot of fun as a tank so really it depends on what you prefer to play but I will say assassin tank starts off real slow

thanks for your input man i appreciate it. my assassin is 50 in full champ gear atm. i wanted to try diff spec before i start gathering battlemaster gear. ima give a tank spec a whirl and see where it goes.

I just switched my spec to 10/0/31. Oh. My. Awesomeness. The ability to actually dps groups is there, go figure. I have some self-healing, recklessness is actually useful again and I get 300k+ dmg most warzones I'm not pure defending. No more darkness for this assassin.

No problem, let me know how it goes. I only have 4 pieces of champ gear at the moment (saber, head, ear, and belt) and am usually top damage when compared to similar geared people. Obviously the battlemasters blow me out of the water but I really enjoy playing this spec. I'm curious to see what will happen when I get better gear!
