    Odd download today?

So just to see if it would work I opened up my launcher just now (its 4 in the morning) and to my surprise there was something that downloaded main assets 34 it was only like 1.2MB but still wondering what it is a small patch to fix something major maybe?

Did anyone see anything about a major fix they would do this week?

That is odd...mine was actually around 6MB from what I seen...it downloaded fast so all I caught was when it got to 5.21MB so I think it was right around 6MB to be honest or it could've just been mine. Since we're on the launcher topic (sort of) I ALWAYS have to allow it to open up the launcher and can't get it to bypass that. What the hell!? I've never had an MMO do that and if it did I just fixed the settings but it seems SWTOR doesn't want to abide by MY settings thus I MUST allow it to open it up every time. Any thoughts on that? Sorry I went a bit off topic but I did mention the download. Hehe.

I did a small download also, but it was that fast I have no idea how big it was lol.

When ever I launch Swtor - windows asks me if I want to before giving me the login screen

That's the User Account Control you guys are talking about (UAC). It can be easily turned off if you don't want any prompts any longer. But it's recommended to have it on

I've fixed all my settings to allow ALL SWTOR but it still doesn't adhere to it. Not unless there's something IN-GAME you're talking about which I can't imagine you would be. I've done the whole settings thing and what not and still Windows says "Are you sure you really want to play this? It could be hazardous to your health!!". Who would turn down something that is so good but yet so bad for you? Psht, everyone dies so why not die doing something you enjoy? Like eating?

No it's not in-game or SWTOR in general.. You have to check the Control Panel / System and Security and look for User Account Control. Not sure if the location is right though, I don't have it in english so my guess is as good as any. In the UAC you can turn all prompts to off so you won't get that Yes button on SWTOR.

Yeah, I thought that's what you were speaking of but I did try that when I first uploaded it to my laptop and it STILL prompted me to do it. Whatever, just something I'll have to bear with until it either works itself out, BioWare/LucasArts/EA, etc. fixes it or I figure out how to do it myself without screwing something up. LOL!!

Well, are you loged in as admin or something? I'm running Windows 7 on a normal account, I just turned off the UAC and it works fine for me. No more prompting.

    Branagamu:

here check this out: Apparently I can't post links yet. But it's easy google it. Use the search criteria "how to turn off uac vista". Click the first one.

Go to Method #4. It's similar on Windows 7 as well, depending on which OS you're running.

From what I gather about those Weekend Pass that was on a regular basis over the weekends? I may be totally wrong here, didn't read much about it as I'm a subscriber.

Yeah Mal, not working. Guess it's 'cause I'm the administrator? I don't know. I'll just put up with it. I'm not making another user account just to bypass that. One it'd kill the CPU usage and Two it'd take a lot of space off my HD and I don't want that nor need that. Plus I need to get my SWTOR moved over to the other HD on my laptop so I don't use my main all the time but I know when I go to move it all I'm going to screw something up and next time I download something or go to play it or something it's either going to go back to the main HD or something didn't move. I have the worst luck with laptops..desktops I've never had a problem but laptops...they hate me. WHYZ HATE BO MUCH SO LAPTOPZ?!
