Are they any good in pvp?

Arguably. The best healer right now they can heal on the run and easy to manage

I've been having a great time with my scoundrel. Roll HoTs on everyone around and you have a fairly abundant supply of energy-free, instant cast heals to go with it. Only down side is that if you need more than HoTs and you're out of upper hand buffs you have to cast a highly interruptable ability as it's your only option. If that gets interrupted you just keep casting HoTs on people until you end up in the graveyard.

I think they are probably better than BH/Commando but not quite as good as sage/sorcs. I know there are some really phenominal ones I've played with in the past. I'll let you know what I think after I roll a scoundrel healer sometime in the near future (next few weeks). I have a couple of other goals to complete first (Need to get my Lvl 43 jugg to 50 and my BH healer to Valor 70 [65 now]).

As far as pvp goes, i think they're supreme. Less likely to get interrupted like sage/sorcs and your healing casts are typically quicker. Usually your heals are smaller as a result but the ability to run with a group while healing is nice.

The mobility alone is worth rolling a scoundrel or operative most people look for the stationary. Healer well at least i do the more pressure u put on them the less they can common sense really so when u see someone running with group u don't think healer

I play a 50 Op in PVP and it's great. You wont get top heals every time (usually goes to a sorc), but your mobility and versatility really make you a boon to your team.
