    I need a SWTOR alternative

SWTOR is only my second MMO I have played...I came from WOW. I played WOW for 3 years, and only wow. I have always been a first person shooter player, then I found wow and have been hooked every since on MMO's. I love SWTOR, but I am also looking for a alternative, F2P fantasy type game like wow that I can play just to change it up from time to time. And to be honest, I miss that midevel, roaming around the countryside on a horse type of game somewhat. I'm not going to quit playing SWTOR, I just want to kill something besides droids sometimes

So I know you guys play other MMO's and would like a suggestion. I've narrowed it down to Rift, LOTRO, Everquest 2, and Allods. Any pros, cons, or suggestions would be appreciated!

I'd suggest looking at Runes of Magic. It is very similar to wow but has a dual class system and 4 expansions. It's 100% free, just download and create an account.

Give Rift a go. It is currently F2P up to level 20 and Trion is doing an amazing job of pushing new content and patches out.

I played Rift at launch. I lost interest in the story. I am seriously thinking about picking it up again.

One of the most awesome feature of RIFT was the souls. You can think of souls as advanced classes, but the cool think about it was you could have EVERY soul. At the time, you could purchase additional slots to hold your souls. I had a mage that had 4 slots. I had a summoner, a dot heavy, pyro and a 4th that I do not remember. When I started, you could earn additional souls be doing certain quests. They have or are going to be just giving them to you.

Looks like they have some cool drop in and play event after level 40 or 45.

I know how much you LOVE crafting. There was plenty of that in the game.

I tried LOTRO online and it just didn't work for me. Lost interest immediately.

Did you think about TERA? They have a 7 day trail, give it a shot. The combat in that game is different, you actually have to aim.

The BEST FTP fantasy mmo is Lord of the Rings Online. There is no one that can compare. You can also play at VIP level and subscribe. Check it out. Awesome game and has great crafting - excellent even.

For me the best fantasy ftp mmo is world of tanks. I get plenty of sword action as a jedi. Wot gives me a little fps some strategy and plenty of leroy to remind me why I still love swtor.

    I need a SWTOR alternative

All I can say is LOTRO all the way. Play it and discover its joys. I have a level 75 on there. Rift is fun as well but its like my third. Swtor is my first then LOTRO then rift

Lol.if u.want a fun addictive ftp mmo game that you.can play on your smart phone/tablet you should check out parallel kingdom. It's kinda awsome how they managed to take a layout like Google map and turn it into a setting for a mmo. The graphics aren't steller think old school zelda but it is fun and you can make all sorts of friends. If u do decide to look it up my in game name is Syrothjr
It is a fun mini break I use on.the go.

I would also say LoTRO as an MMO. I played a guardian ( tank) up to level 70, then they raised the cap to 75. You can play as either a normal character or as monster, and it is free.
