    Augments

Would someone be able to post an Augment guide that outlines what Augments are best suited for each advanced class?

My main alt I use is a Gunslinger that I mostly PVE/PVP with. I am currently wearing all PVP battlemaster field tech gear and one war hero main hand weapon. I am leaning more torwards the Power/Endurance augment right now.

That might actually be a nice feature for the site, a wiki or voting section for best mods and augs or secondary stats. It would probably have to reset it every time there's a big patch though.

    it would be nice...

The pervailing wisdom on the BH DPS side is to stack Aim
    ###########################################
Order of the Sentinel - Rep Side
    SoulSage (50) - Sage ------ SoulTrooper (35) - Vangaurd
    SoulSmugler (15) - Gunslinger ----- SoulJedi (12) - Sentinel
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    SoulHunter (50) - Merc
    SoulJugg (40) - Jugg ----- Lundigras (41) - Operative

Think in order of stat priority. So always go the following for a Gunslinger. Cunning>Accuracy>Power> Crit> Surge. You have to be aware of getting secondary stats to a certain point before you get diminishing returns. Accuracy should stop at 108. Crit should stop right around 35%. Thats why Cunning is your best bet because it always makes a difference.

    yah main stat.

Cunning for more dmg, crit, and bonus dmg. Use the sub augments if you are particularly short on a single stat. Like acc. As a pure dps gunslingers should max out acc. It reduces an opponents defense to attacks and translates to more dmg.

I've often seen 108% as the target for accuracy, but does that refer to standard mêlée/ranged attacks (which has a base level of 90%) or "special" attacks (base 100%)? I'm struggling to find a source which answers the question definitively (although I'm leaning towards the latter, since you'd need rather a lot of accuracy rating to gain +18%).

Also, as far as I'm aware, power isn't subject to diminishing returns - each point of power yields an extra 0.23 bonus damage (compared to 0.2 per point of your primary attribute).

The 108% number for accuracy is based off of normal attacks. The prevailing thought has been get normal attacks to 100% taking your special attacks to 110%. Accuracy hits DR at 108% normal thus 118% for special attacks. So by piling up the extra accuracy to that point makes the takes lower target defenses after that point the returns for each point spent in Accuracy is pointless.
