i don't really buy in to this kind of crap but as i have some free time i will play with you

how am i a poor, under educated subject? though i will thank you for not calling me uneducated, just under educated. every little helps huh?

i made a valid point, that xwings don't belong in this game, so far set in the past. seems like a good point as it's in a post for improving the gameplay for some, not adding whatever people like from the whole franchise. think about it i'm sure your little brain will see the relevance of this. why don't you start a new post about putting whatever takes peoples fancy in to another game? should'nt be too hard for your over educated brain to figure out should it?
anyway i will apologise to all for trying to keep the spirit of this post on track, except you sir, you bloody moron

Descending to name-calling is hardly "keep[ing] the spirit of this post on track". It was obvious to me (and presumably to most others, since only caladan is making an issue of it) that Markk9's suggestion was for the inclusion of a sub-game similar to the game X-wing vs TIE fighter, not the inclusion of the actual ships over 3 millennia before their canonical invention.

And caladan, if you want to avoid being labelled under-educated, you may want to work on your grammar and punctuation a little.

Well done Zarathud. We have more and more of this nonsense on the forum. We have far to many people crapping on others with little regard for coherent, sane, polite discussion.

um, if things are obvious then why ask for something in black and white? seems to me these people would actually want an xwing/tiefighter game as that is what they asked for. i never name called to start with just said that this doesnt work. you go through life thinking when some one says one thing they OBVIOUSLY mean another?

if you read what it says "anyway i will apologise to all for trying to keep the spirit of this post on track" it is right and doesnt need an ING on the end, why try attack my post that way and get it wrong? lol

i called one person a moron, that was for trying to make a big deal out of me pointing out that something wouldnt work. Soulbender dont get involved, you're better than that

all of the flaming and bollox that gets done on any site i try to ignore, i never entered this with an attack in mind as you can OBVIOUSLY get from actually READING my post, the hate came later lol

You should not have been called "under-educated". I should have pointed that out.

I still stand by my statement that we have to much bull sh!t going on with people being bad citizens. It's a problem with the human condition.

Actually, SIMULATED GAMBLING is included in the potentially objectionable content area and places it into rated TEEN 13+ land. That is what SWTOR is rated - OFFLINE already. Online play for ALL MMO's is not rated. Generally, that means that it should be a MATURE user, however, due to profanity filters (which can be manually removed or people can get by them by creative input), cut to black for sexual scenes, and other features that may be implemented, TEEN 13+ is generally appropriate for rating an online content. But due to the ability to turn these off to some degree, without parental control, they can be MATURE. Thus, the UNRATED rating.

So, to your point on gambling...it is already covered by the off-the-shelf rating of the game by the ESRB. You aren't a party pooper Roxsta. Just wrong.

that isnt the point hes making, i think hes making the point that that Series Xwing vs Tie Fighter was a open space combat game, he wasnt talking about adding those 2 specific ships into the game.

Well if thats the case, SWEET!!! bring on the pazaak post haste as far as im concerned, because if its not a rating issue then why the heck are we not playing it and which goose at BW or Lucasarts forgot to put it in the original release.

The one thing that you people are failing to see is that Pazaak is gambling. There are different laws dealing with gambling in different country and states. Online gambling is a huge grey area. What is legal in one state isn’t legal in another. NC has gone through 3 changes to the laws about video poker machine since I’ve lived here in 5 yrs. Each time they change the wording on the law video poker finds loop holes to open back up. I don’t see Pazaak being add any time soon to much legal red tape.

it is NOT gambling. it would be SIMULATED GAMBLING. There is no money involved. It would be no different than going online to play Texas Hold'em for points. No money is involved. You have casino apps and games you can play on your phone, tablets and PC's. There has been simulated gambling embedded into computer games for ages.

Video Poker on that pays out real money IS gambling and is not legal in most states. But you can find thousands of video poker machines in bars across your state that let you play for fun - winning points that have no value. As far as I am aware, every state allows BINGO. Every state allows a "charity" casino event for prizes (even these are allowed in UTAH).

Sorry War, you are just incorrect. Simulated Gambling exists in EVE and LOTRO (in forms of lotteries) and WoW. I hear you can now gamble in Star Trek Online. Many other MMO's, too. You are confusing simulated gambling and SIMULATED GAMBLING DEVICES. the simulated gambling devices are designed for commercial monetary gain. That is the legal issue. No state is going to keep anybody from playing HOTEL CASINO on Facebook. Simply because it isn't gambling.

Now, what the laws are in other countries, I don't know. Every country has their own special ways of oppressing their citizens.

I think you might be right on this one Lucious. Think about Zynga Poker on Facebook, you can actually purchase chips with real money there.
