Servers Down?

Yup, they are down. Yup you missed the message because you are normal and prolly didn't read the CS Forum to find out that at the last minute they are pulling the plug "due to Cascade Failures resulting in lag on mulitple servers." Its a restart no ETA on when they come back up.

I didn't realise it was happening, there wasn't the usual "servers are going down in xx mins" message in the game. I was in the middle of a boss fight!

Who would have thought bouncing a server takes over an hour. Maybe they need to hand crank them.


Edit they just came back up. Only took 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Apparently the rollback that was included was at least a couple hours.

We was lucky. We just did Ev when the servers dead.
Last time we just started Ev and servers dead. We took the free time to have an Officers meeting.

I was asleep at the time so I guess I was lucky.. But I did experience some of the lag earlier that evening, was a bit annoying, thought first it was my own computer messing up or something, but then people said they'd experienced lag as well.

I think it's kinda impressive when a thread like this stays clean when an unexpected maintenance happens. Usually alot of people whine and complain. Probably one of the reasons I read this Forum and not the Official Forum. Can't be arsed to get depressed reading peoples complaints all the time!

The sad part about the restarts was the lag issue was still around after. I ran 5 HMs that night and not once time did I finish with the original group. People kept getting disconnected.

That sucks I wonder if it's part of the increased population on the servers that's causing the servers to malfunction more obvious. Hopefully they'll sort more problems in tomorrow's maintenance
