First time rolling sniper

Hey there community,

I am currently a lvl 16 sniper and its my first agent i have ever rolled. I chose the sniper AC and was wondering if anyone knows the breakdown in benifits/drawbacks to each tree. i will mainly be doing raids but would like to get better at PvP along the way. Thanks for any advise you can give me.

The marksman is your pve raiding high dps tree the middle (idk the name i played slinger and its sabotage) is aoe/elemental damage and your shared or right tree is your best for pvp due to its high bleed effects.

taugrim's vid made me want to roll a sniper in 1.2. I started pvp on that toon at level 10 and kept him parked in fleet and pvp'd till I saved up a stupid amount of rested xp. even at level 10 the pvp buff that you get allowed me to be at the top of the damage list with a simple snipe spam. (of course at higher levels snipe spam just doesn't cut it)
the spec he's showcasing in the vid is the mirror class to the marksman which is what I used and still use now. (I will go lethality once I get a bit more gear on him) I like the marks spec because it allows for good snap and sustained damage on a single target and a nice execute ability as a finisher. in some of my better matches I was able to get 60 kills in a match. lethality is the most mobile spec where you don't need cover as much it has good multi target damage ability however it needs a bit of a set up where you need to have poisons rolling on your target to start the damaging abilities.
after playing a sorc a powertech and a merc to 50 I gotta say the sniper has the most abilities to use out of all of them. I have an N52 gamepad and a 12 button mouse and I am still struggling to keybind all of my abilities. (my relic and adrenal is still unbound as of yet.) there is another person in my guild that plays a sniper in my guild with a regular keyboard and a 2 button mouse and I can really sense the difference between us. on a bad pull he rarely gets a ballistic shield off as well as mezzes to name a few.

the sub 50 pvp was a riot. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, in fact I rolled another lowby marks sniper to have some fun again. at 50 however in recruit gear and late in 1.2 my 50 sniper was getting melted. in the time I have to pvp I am focusing on getting my pyro powertech the last 3 pieces of warhero before I think about grinding another alt in the 50 pvp bracket.
