    Jugg Tank Augments

So I started a thread awhile back regarding Power for tanks. Well its been some time and I have hit diminishing returns on my defensive stats. 480 defense, 531 shield (50%), and 250 absorb (51%). So now its more about having hp as it gives me better bang for my buck. However I'm left with 2 choices, the Fortitude with +18 End/+12 Power or a Might Aug with +18 Strength/+12 End. What's the vote here?

Seems to me you would get a lot more from the str/end than the other. Giving up 6 end but the pure str may make up for some of that in other defensive stats.

What makes you think that 480 Defense is the cap / point of diminishing returns? From the graphs and such that I have seen on the various forums regardings stat caps and the points of diminishing returns, it seems that a defense rating of slightly over 600 (about 30%) is where diminishing returns kicks in.

My Guardian has Defense Rating of 606 (29.79%). Still working on getting my Shield Chance and Absorb a little bit higher but that would be easy if I could determine that Defense Rating's cap was 480 and I didn't have to stack it to 600+.

Here is where I got the information regarding the stats:

I was gonna say defense caps way higher than 480. To your initial point, Redoubt Augments till you hit 600, then Might. The extra strength is always useful.

This is why I'm happy I asked. As far as I knew, def capped at like 500 to be more specific but I do remember reading that article. If you don't mind me asking, what's your shield and absorb at with that 600 stat? The only improvements to my gear that I see are a 26 hilt, 2 26 guardian armorings (for my bracers and belt), and the campaign off hand. Gear wise I don't see anywhere to improve. I can only assume your shield and absorb have taken the hit for def rating?

I am not in game right now but you are correct, my Shield Chance and Absorb are lower than yours but I am not fully outfitted in BH gear yet (I have three - or is it four - pieces of BH gear (actually I just yank the BH mods out and stick them in my orange pieces)). If my last notes are correct, I believe my shield chance is 42.20% (465 rating) and Shield Absorb is 40.76% (239 rating). I believe once I am fully outfitted in BH gear that my Shield Chance and Abosrb will go up some while still being able to maintain a Defense Rating around the cap of 600 or so.

Hmm, I have a spreadsheet and what not that calculates squishiness and spikiness based upon class and stats. I think I need to take a hard look at messing around with my stats. I have all my stuff that's not campaign pumped into the rakata shells.
