I'm not sure "interesting" is the word I would use.

No Count as much as you love to think of me as a Bio drone; I'm not. There are things in the game I love, I hate and I understand. This World Event I hate. It took zero effort on their behalf to come up with this. The event is nothing more then endless of Nar Shadaa to buy anything from the vendor. For a completist they will be doing nothing but running around Nar Shadaa to get everything for their alts. The Rakghoul event it was easy to complete and get everything you want from the vendor. This event there is only one way to get stuff from the vendor and that to run around Nar Shadaa. Which isn't fun.

For someone to get everything for all alts. Not counting the Sandpeople reskin for everyone just one. Its 3280 tokens. you get roughly 100 tokens for completing the event. That is 2360 crates too loot. Its poor design. Should have been other ways to get tokens or get vendor items from crates. People say they have gotten the pet but after all the crates I've done I've never seen it.

Count you are 1 of 2 things. You are either a retarded because you are paying for a game you hate or you closest BW lover and you just get off on trying to get people worked up.

    August World Event

I thought this world event was only mildly interesting. The thing that threw me off was the ending. I thought these evil chevin things were suppose to be some significant danger to the republic or empire. But all that ends up happening is I turn in some items in a Dropbox and don't even learn anything about why they are important. Luckily I was playing as a bh so it was just another job in a days work...

I think I'm done with this event. I think I ended up with a total of approx. 500ish tokens. I purchased orange belt and bracers for a bunch of my toons. I purchased the lvl 50 Aim and Cunning bow casters. I think I have some tokens left and I may go ahead and purchase the helm.

It was interesting to see them add in quest tracking to some of the quests. That was a nice improvement. The ventilation quest gave me fits on two toons until someone pointed out that jumping reactivated the vent.

All in all I give it a C grade.

The affects of the events on the space ports and the promenade as well as some of the locations of the quests was interesting. I started to notice more of the "phone booths" as the event dragged on. The stand off on the Nar Shaddaa space port pad was funny. One day they are all bowing up at each other, the next they are all dead. CSI was on the scene.

Did I get what I wanted out of it. Yes, for what it is worth. As an altoholic, this event did what the Rhakghoul event couldn't. It allowed lower level players to participate with out having to stand in circle jerks waiting to explode.

I agree. I was expecting it to conclude a lot better than it did. They did a good job building up the intregue (at least for me) with the SIS agent listening in to them talking about some "unknown" fleet of importance (which we did know was Gree) and then further learning that the Empire was also involved with negotiations of some sort.

Then I was let down when they never "discovered" more about the fleet OR what the Empire was up to. They just sort of wrapped it up with "obviously giving the items to these guys is bad so you should give it to us instead!"

I think they should have made the "turn in" of the items a short mission chain that had you playing detective a bit more before you were expect to decide (preferably in a conversation instead of just throwing two dropboxes out and saying "pick one").

I didn't mind not getting EVERYTHING for rewards. I bought what I could afford and that was that. However, I play this game for the story, and was hoping it would have a bit more depth than it did.

There are follow up in game mails that add some extra flavor.

Did you run this on imp and pub? Both factions "negotiated".

I ran on Republic. I realize they both were discussing things "behind the scenes" but it would have been nice for my character to be part of it (either in investigating the Imperials or in assisting with our negotiations) instead of just having it referenced.

Overall, I just felt like the conversations I did have cut the story short before it was over and they just sent a few mailings and a mission to "pick a dropbox" to close it off. I started out very excited because I was bugging conversations and tapping lines to figure out what was going on. Then the SIS agent did the rest of the work while I was busy fixing droid races and flying busted up speeders to collect items that I'm then told just to drop off in a box.

I liked to see a lot of new mechanics while collecting the items, but I was surprised the story played such a small part in an event in TOR. The entire last event was about learning how the infection started and where it came from. This one was about collecting items while the SIS figured out why you were doing it.

Edit: Too many S's in SIS (due to working with data migration SSIS packages at work).
