    Liked/Disliked Planets Imperial/Republic

I have now played 2 of my Imperial characters to level 50 and 1 Republic character to level 30 (so far), and I found myself liking some planets better than others (who hasn't). What I found interesting is that my list of like/dislike planets on my Imperial is different than Republic. For example I disliked Taris on the Imperial side, but liked Taris on the Republic side. I think that it was the whole light/dark atmosphere.

I am wondering if anyone else out there found themselves liking a planet on one faction, but disliking it on another and what are your favorite or not so favorite planets?

I pretty much see all the shared planets the same. the missions are different, obviously, but it is the same Nerfs and Sand People on Tat, in the end.

I do have horrible dislikes that cross factions. For instance, I HATE Hoth. There is nothing that will ever change my mind outside of BW doing some terraforming of it. I think my overall favorite is Belsavis. I like the environment and it is pretty easy to get around.

I hate all the planets after DK/Cor, the load screens take so long I can catch a nap.

Imp side Blamora, I bust out class missions on that planet and am gone, although I can't figure why. Maybe it's has to do with having to hoof it around for the first three toons through there. My last character had the legacy speeder skill so I think I actually did the entire planet.

I tend to skip as much as possible on Hoth.

    I love Nar Shaddaa though.

I guess I'm weird. I like Hoth and Ilum the best, followed by Voss. Of course I know why... I live in Florida, so naturally I prefer wintry and autumny scenery to the hot sticky crap I have to deal with in real life.

Couldn't handle Hoth. You get your quests all the way in the north and the objectives are all in the south (or vice-versa) with nothing but auto-run zone out time in between. Maybe if they had put in some interesting new Hoth lore, like finding some impressive ancient ruins with huge lore significance I'd have enjoyed it more, but (at least on my scoundrel and sage) it was a snow filled wasteland with a few survivalists and Imperials that needed killin'.

I felt like I was only really there to pass the time and the time was mostly filled with travelling...

That's one of the things I liked about it
Other planets like Correlia, Nar Shadaa,
Coruscant, etc... feels like you're in a cramped maze... go here, round there, circle round three times, and finally you get where you're going. But, on Hoth.. just point towards your green arrow and go Have a snack, and watch your speeder fly, steer round the occasional pit or rock, or ugly cat thing, but otherwise, much easier to get around.

I'm a Hoth fan... It is a lot of running to get anywhere...

Balmorra on Imp and Taris on Pub... not a fan.

    Screw Balmorra and Hoth.

I loved Taris on my sniper and Merc. AOE playground.

I think it was fine on the republic side. Raiding Sobric was kind of cool. Amazing what flipping the map does.

It's not a planet, but I really dislike Republic Fleet.
It's the same thing but in reverse of IF. Problem is that it actually looks slightly more evil than IF.
IF looks evil and cold. RF is supposed to look warm and friendly, I'm guessing, but it looks dirty, rusted, and rundown, like someone just handjammed it together. Hell, even the hobjob wrecks the Terrans cruise around in in Starcraft look more homey than RF. Where IF has a bar and a strip club, RF has a..... um tent city that looks like a hobo village. It should be + shaped instead, and have an atrium in the center maybe some trees. Maybe a blue theme, with lots of windows.

I guess they spent all their money building the baller-ass Senate Tower.

The "doors" on RF are smaller. They have those panels on the sides of all the alcoves that make it harder to get in.

Yeah, my first impressions when I got to RF was that it seemed like a broken down prison. Low lighting and all the mesh made it feel closed in even with the fountains. The IF seemed more roomy and inviting despite the gray walls and floors. One nice thing about the RF is that there are signs on the walls when you come down the corridor off the cantina to indicate what is in the "wing" of the outer ring.
