Forced Merges

Tomorrow they're supposedly moving the stragglers off the old origin servers to the destination servers. I doubt this effects most people, but a few people may still be playing on the old, dead servers.

I read somewhere that they are also increasing the available characters slots to 12. I have no idea how they will handle the rare person who had more than 12 total characters between the two servers (technically you could have 16).

I left one 50 on an origin server because it was on the wrong coast and away from my cadre of toons.

I was hoping they'd enact some sort of way to transfer it to the other coast.

what was surprising to me was that there was still activity going on that supposedly dead server. I never saw any 50's but I would see at least 5 sub 50's spread across all the worlds.

There were a few people claiming they hadn't moved yet because they wanted their name. Others, however, claimed they just liked leveling characters without others around and preferred a dead server. It's possible you're just seeing a couple people across a lot of alts leveling characters for the story.

Has anyone else tried the super server? I logged into it and saw the 12 character slots there. I had a number of toons that would need to be renamed should they make that happen.

while I totally agree with having a paid version where we have a choice due to myself having a stranded 50 on another coast I kind of understand what they are doing. allowing people to taste the mega servers before they let their emotions take them to whatever server they think is going to be the next hope.

look at what happened to the Fatman server, it was thought of the last hope, the last stand where everyone migrated to. now its population has dwindled so far that its become an origin server and tomorrow only a memory. RIP fatman.

Hey hey, good news for me. Corellian run is merging with shadowlands!! All my toons will be on one server and my main will finally be able to play with some of you from the forums!!! Plus a new cap of 12 slots.

On general chat last night on Drooga Pleasure Barge server they were saying that we were moving to Harbinger (a Super Server version of Harbinger), today. General chat is not a reliable source but just passing it along.

We are, it was on the SWTOR main site before they took the whole thing down for maintenance. Good bet most of us are losing not only our unique Legacy names, but our character's first names as well.

Guess I'll find something else to spend my $15 a month on now. Maybe books. I like books.
