Thanks Jetsu, for the detailed answer....OK I will leave the name complaining alone lol. I still don't like it, but now see it would be a huge undertaking to have both names non unique.

And their claws are razor sharp (no clothing will save you) and itch like crazy after they scratch. Really, kittens are much worse than older cats.

When naming conflicts occur due to the consolidation, players are given priority based on a variety of factors such as character play time and if they have already had to rename their characters as part of the first character transfer program back in June. Please do keep in mind that this does not encompass all of the factors taken into consideration, but those are an example of the major ones.

Jetsu, I totally agree with you that what you get to name your character shouldn't be a reason for playing or not playing a game. As you so wonderfully pointed out - we are paying for the enjoyment and entertainment of a game. I also totally get War's point. It is one thing to log in to a new game and not get the name you were hoping for, but it is another thing to be playing a game for 9 months and get your character name taken from you. Had to rename 3 of my toons on server merges - luckily none of them were my main. Although one was because of my main character, lol. Had I been forced to rename my main I'm honestly not sure what I would have done. At the very least that character would either be never played again or simply deleted after I looted him for his valuables. While the name of my character doesn't directly impact my enjoyment of the game, it most certainly does affect the emotional bond I have with my character. Shakespeare said 'a rose by any other name is still a rose' but he was never attached to his characters in an mmo. Sutek, just wouldn't be Sutek by any other name.

nice. They offered me nuke MM or ET but I didn't want the wait (at the time it was almost 18 months). My 1st choice FCM, was the same. I wanted to go subs but they were all too long of a wait. My 2nd choice was STS. No love so I went with the family tradition: STG. I even tried to lateral to STS after it opened up, but by that time I held critical NEC's and they wouldn't make me happy.
