Has anyone tried the new operation?

If you have, how is it?

I was hoping with the new operation being released that they would move EC to the group finder.

Story Mode is ridiculously easy. Some of the mechanics are unique within SWTOR, some are not. The pacing is good. The big thing is the visuals are amazing. It is full of atmosphere. It has such a unique look that it immediately stands out. If you are an Imperial player only then, the look is very much new. If you play Republic and have done the Black Bisector series of quests on Coruscant, then the look very much fits in with what you know of the Gree. I will say this, if you have a group looking to get into Raids, you could feasibly start here if you have a group that is in Columi from doing daily HM FP's. Explosive Coast Story Mode USED to be harder, still might be but I haven't tried it since it got bludgeoned to death by the mighty Nerf Bat. My Sniper is in full BH and I never broke a sweat as a DPSer. Gonna try my tank out who is in Col/Rak gear this weekend.

One thing about Hard Mode that I noticed as we went through it, there are additional mechanics that are not in Story Mode that makes it more of a challenge, close to what EC SM used to be but not quite. It is a great addition to the game though. Drag that only Rakata gear drops with only a chance of Campaign in SM or Dread Guard in HM. Like I said though it really is a fun Op. I am gonna try that one on all my 50's which I didn't do that with EC every week not even when it came out.

As a side note, your gonna have to be more aware of your surroundings than in any other Op in this game.

+1 SOFA KING AMAZING.. I'm kind of glad the story mode was tuned easy. just walking around in asation felt like a real event. refreshing mechanics and beautifully rendered environment. its definitely something that would convince F2P players to shell out some bucks for.
I really look forward to the last 2 bosses on hard mode.

I really hope that this is just a peek into what future ops environments will be like.

Well it was nice to give to companions. My guys are all in full campaign right now story mode was just for the story. Off night of raiding might as well get a feel for it.

I have nothing but good things to say! I did the Storymode in a full PUG group on the first day and only one person had done it on test server, we had very few wipes, and made to the boss in 4 hours. I had to bail on the final guy due to time restraints but I don't doubt they cleared it.

    it was a beautiful zone!

I have yet to try ANY of the ops... I believe I could on my Merc now, but I haven't played in for some time now. Probably very rusty.

I've run quite a few of TfB with my guild. Unfortunately, we're a casual raiding guild so the teams vary by 30% each time and we never have enough time to finish the final fight. We are on farm mode up until the final boss though. I've actually had the chance to run as every role (mDPS, rDPS, Heals & Tank) and you don't appreciate all the nuances of the fights until you do that.

It is actually very visually striking and pleasant to look at. It is also the only OP that pays for itself in terms of armor repairs. I think you could wipe like 10 - 15 times and still come out ahead as long as you make forward progress.

In my opinion a lot of the boss encounters are actually easier than EC except maybe the last fight. Every boss has tank swapping mechanics, but I find them a lot easier than Toth & Zorn. I've also found that it seems to be easy on the tanks while the dps and healers are the ones stressing.

It also seems to be less buggy than other ops, although I may just be lucky on that account. The only bug I've seen is that we somehow aggroed one of the hypergate rifts while going for the final chest. No one was near the rift, but it aggroed none the less. But aggroing things you shouldn't seems to be an engine issue not necessarily an instance issue.

4th boss can be stressing if your dps is not strong enough/ healers can't heal you up before hitting 10%, last boss is purely experience and personal issues.

Love the zone for its open feel, great visuals and great encounter.
