Well, its been a fun time...I have been here since the beta of SWTOR and I have found myself not interested in the game anymore...i cant get into the post-game content and the game for me personally feels like a job now more than a good time. I tried fighting through this feeling but I just cant help it unfortunately... I have used this site as a friendly place to go for so long and even this site doesnt seem to get updated as much anymore and several familiar names seem to have been long gone now. With that being said, i decided that it is finally time to give it up. I went on my account this morning and cancelled my subscription. Now, I will also be saying goodbye to oldrepublic.net. It is sad to say goodbye but it just seems needed...why pay $15 a month when i barely play anymore? No hard feelings to SWTOR or anything...I am just afraid that the newest updates have come just a little too late...I may hop back on when it goes F2P to see whats changed but after playing Guild Wars 2, i personally cant see myself paying $15 a month for any MMO anymore (btw, if your looking for a guild on the Sorrows Furnace server, look up Velox Stark)...so to all of you, I bid farwell....its been a nice ride but time to move on...

I am right behind you. My sub runs out in a couple of weeks. I can handle a lot of things about a game but being stuck on a dead server makes the game unplayable.

Omg, really? This is the game that causes people to leave SWTOR? I was not real impressed in Beta and after a few weeks with the final product I am less impressed. Foremost, if you like WoW style pvp WvW then its pretty cool. The graphics are very nice. The character creation process is very similar to one of the better japanese anime mmorpg's. Then it goes downhill. This game is VERY bad at PvE. There are 8 Dungeons in the entire game. The first one is for level 30's. There is one for 40's, 50's & 60's. The other four are for level 70's+. The reason you run a dungeon is for armor and weapon sets that are matching and themed for that particular dungeon. You can purchase gems that let you transfer your better stats onto a better looking armor set, like WoW's Transmorgify ability. That's the purpose. Its not that it really furthers a story along, which are all fairly poor to begin with. There is no real interaction with other people. They have these events that are best if done by lots of folks. You don't group with them, you just commence to beating on the event objective with everyone else. You don't need others but your character is much better in a group. The loot that drops for a group is better than what you get solo. But there is nothing that presses you to group. So I can play for hours and not talk to a soul. Bad game design unless you like single player games. If thats the case why play an mmo? Again, too many people say that its better, but its not. For a free game, its still not good. Play Perfect World, it out Guild Wars Guild Wars 2. I wish folks the best, but do something better if you plan on leaving SWTOR.

I always thought swtor would be a better single player game than gw2.

Some parts are nice sure but gw2 should be a Facebook game. Sure its a nice gimmick and that's the only thing.
