Artifice Purple Schematics

I'm an Artificer. If I take the enhancements out of purple gear is there a chance I will get the schematic for it to? I read a post somewhere that that is how it works for cybertechs. It cost 8k to do this so I just want to be sure. Thanks!

First you have to pay to rip the enhancement out. Then you should have a 20% chance to reverse engineer it and learn the schematic. It can get really expensive and time consuming. Hope it helps.
