Jedi Covenant server broke

Nothing is working on Jedi Covenant server right now. Can't turn in missions or loot kills. People can't craft and are losing credits they are putting into their guild banks. I can't even quick travel, way to go EA release a patch to fix one thing then get 100 other bugs with the patch. Maybe its time to give world of Warcraft another try.

EA sucks so hard. I think there must have been some sabotage from a secret WOW agent all along. I mean think about it. If they offered several key development people 2 million dollars to sabotage SWTOR during development... you get the current piece of shit game!

Logged back in this morning seems like everything is ok now. They had to shut the server down around 3am. Just makes me sad this game has a ton of potential, I really enjoy playing it.

You 3 are, apparent newbies to the MMO world. Servers go down for various reasons. It wasn't due to the patch, This occurred 2 days later and was limited to Jedi Covenant. There can be dozens, hundreds, thousands of reasons a sever goes down. First off, The "server" you play on is more like a "mini" server farm. Any little glitch such as communications issues between the individual systems can cause trouble. They didn't say what caused it, but some sort of instability or failure of equipment was likely. I am guessing it was a database issue since things weren't being recorded and updated as well as item loss. If you put in a ticket with CS detailing what you lost, you just may get it back. It has worked for me on several occasions.

As for bugs, any issues I was encountering (all graphics) are all gone - except that damn Kira Lightsaber always on thing. LOL I still have it after i switch comps. Yesterday I pulled out T7 and it looked like he had a lightsaber out. But I live with it cuz she hits like a truck

harsh...harsh is describing shitty weed. and tagging them newbies is hardly a clamus or sacula move. this is the gentler/kinder zabrak. a reformed sith assassin, if you will. I coulda layed into them and called them whiny little pussies and if they didn't like it to get the hell off the game. But...I did not. I did think about it though.

And I can't kill the goddamn Emperor. Im a tank guardian and think i need to respec to offense. I dunno, I am decked out in shield augs and defense gear and it would cost a ton just to try an experiment. So I'm a bit testy.

Sorry I'm a gamer not a computer programmer. All I meant was this game has way more bugs than any game I've played. World of Warcraft for the six years I played it hasn't had as many bugs and problems as this game has had in six months. Fallout would be the 2nd most bugged game I've played. Customer service sucks couldn't complete a main storyline quest to advance my story and it took 4 days to get back to me. Sadly this game is dying f2p isn't gonna save it. Its just another way for EA to squeeze a few more bucks outta this game.

CS are elves in Santa's workshop. They answer complaints in the order received. Unless...you are on the "naughty list." The one thousands of names long who include the disgruntled and have no problem "gruntling" about things. Then there are the experienced MMO players. You weren't around for WoW launch. HAHA or SW:G for that matter. not pretty and WoW was way worse that SWTOR was. Those of us, in the beginning, learned that computers are not always as obedient (or overly so) as the programmers desire. The machine retaliate. We became more understanding and patient. Guess what? I get a response usually within 4-6 hours. sometimes overnight. I think they put me on the "nice list."

psst...they can tell by the tenor of your written complaint, easily, your level of gruntledness (I am not hiding that I am disappointed at your post). Same goes for the way you interact with them on the phone. You can catch more flies with fresh road apples than a no-pest strip.

I would have said, as I have before on similarly themed threads, it'll be fixed soon. I play mainly on Jedi Covenant and to be honest when I experienced the same issues, I knew that it was a server specific issue as my toons that were on the West Coast server had no problem. I wouldn't have chastised them though. No need. Its ultimately frustrating enough that I don't need to add insult to injury. Though your explanation was pretty spot on. My first thoughts were the same. I maybe critical of the game, but I do not tend to be critical of people. We differ greatly on that point.

Good news is the server works and I now have OMNI BUFF! Never again will I have to ask for the Inquisitor/Counselor buff. People get stingy with those for some reason. After my Inquisitor got past Chapter 2, I logged onto my Jedi Sentinel and started ninja buffing every non 50 I could find on the fleet. Probably will do it for the rest of the week.

I finished chapter 2 with my Inquisitor Sorcerer last night also. Now I have 3 buffs with each of my Legacy players. The only one I need now is Warrior/Knight. Those Inquisitors are bad to the bone, they are some great dps-ers, too bad they all wear dresses.

What are the buff stats? I know Trooper/Bounty Hunter is 5% Endurance.

Since Luscient ignores my posts someone else can copy pasta for him. In the emperor fight ignore the adds and you MUST interrupt his one shot ability. I forget the exact name of it. T7 will die in 20 seconds but you don't need him especially as a tank spec guardian.
