Is it just me or is the front page of the site gone?

If I go to oldrepublic.net it brings me straight to the forums.

I think that they should keep the "home page" as the gateway. It kind of gives a nice place to get a snapshot of the forums and anything else that could be happening. Even though the original owners are not actively posting, they could put up a coupe of the guides in the place of the articles. Another thought is that the community submit their own articles to be posted. This can be tough to get people to do. I maintain our WoW guild's website and when I can't think of anything to write about or post I ask others to contribute, but even that doesn't work. Given that this is a great website and a lot of great discussions go on, maybe more people would be willing to help post on the site.

I noticed this a couple days ago but thought my browser was just being wacky lol. Personaly I liked the 'old' way better, but that's just what I was used to seeing. But if they aren't posting any new news, guess it doesn't matter.

I would be willing to post patch notes, maint., ect. Perhaps others would also. What do you say?

I agree mostly, it's kind of pointless to have the front page if no one is updating it. However, we do have a great community, so I think it would be nice if the community could submit guides and articles to help this process out, even if they have to go through the process of being approved by a moderator.

I've been trying to post whatever news I see on the TOR FB page and don't mind helping you out with that, Soul.

I would like to see the front page updated once a day if possible. Kind of silly for me to have to go to Darthhater or Torwars to read stuff about the game and then come back here to post about them...

I have TORWars in my RSS reader. That is where I've been getting my news from. I do not read the official forums.

thanks for the interest guys. if you guys really want to contribute to the community by posting news, patch notes or guides...I will totally support it. How many of you are genuinely interested of doing this, please post here along with some details on what you want to post. I think 2-3 people that more than enough to handle the news/guides part and if you really show some kind of dedication to this, I can throw in some incentives for you guys. Anyway, let's see first who wants some action and we'll take it from there.
