The Official thread on the forums has been reset when it hit over 100 pages... now the forums are going crazy and well past 480, when I was last on. So many people are on the forums that there is a wait time in a queue just to load the next page!!

I wouldn't even BOTHER. You can't follow a conversation on there, or even have anything resembling an erudite discussion. Stick with this website, it's much better.

Stick with the Wookie and you'll be fine. ^^

People go on there to bitch because of thier false sense of entitlement. Somewhat humorous if you ask me. grab a beer, sit back and giggle. that's right! i said giggle! nothing wrong with a grown man giggling!
*tee hee*
and I'm afraid that the official forums will be in this state at least unti the end of the month. more people are coming in Early Access and after this ends, the game will official launch which means a new batch of people. things will go calm after the holidays, imo
Those boards have been awful since the Thanksgiving beta test. I doubt I'll even use them once the game is going for real. Nothing more than a bunch of people with a false sense of entitlement.
Some of the high(low)lights...
People believing they should be in first because they spent $150 on the CE.
Someone threatening to sue because BW isn't letting everyone in at once.
These folks should just be HAPPY that BW is even allowing an early access. Ungrateful little gits.
In most cases, I wouldn't say people are angry because they feel they deserve to be ahead of others or that they're not grateful for early access, but rather the lack of data and the whole "golden ticket" e-mail situation. Making people sit around spamming F5 hoping for an e-mail that in most cases never arrived, is a little ridiculous. It's just a strange position to put your player base in and it's something that in all honesty could have been prevented.
Ultimately though, we all know the game is great and this will whole situation will be all but forgotten once everyone is playing.

I used to visit the official forums, but then I . . . .
. . . . saw the light
Is the search function still disabled there?

Rift launch was horrific on their forums for that first month with people getting the first 30 days free. Every day it was just a constant stream of whining and opinions on what the company needed to fix. That class is OP, I'm quitting, you guys stink, etc. The early wave of people getting hacked before Trion released authenticators didn't help moods, especially because customer service was so bogged down.
No more "official" forums for me.
I like you.
Also - I know, it's not an entitlement as of yet!! To get SOME EGA within that 'up to 5 days' is if you pre-ordered, but proper criticism should only come post 20th December. Otherwise it's really just white noise ^_^ Still fun to theorycraft about invites etc.

You can either look at it as me flippin him the bird, or giving him a nod of respect. Either will work.
As for me, I WILL be playing both games as I see no need for one to be the death of the other for me. Dude, assuming ToR is successful as I expect it to be, the competition will force them both to work that much hard to keep us.
WOOTINI!

I understand the O-Boards are a wreck due to the EA frustration, but man do I hope that Bioware cleans them up after launch. One of the big reasons why I pre-ordered before even playing beta was because of the community that I saw at SWTOR.com over the last year and a half.
The community is ultimately what drove me from WoW...the huge sense of entitlement and Blizzard then pandering to that. I'm hoping that this entitlement problem we're seeing with EA will soon fade, I don't want this community to end up like WoW.
That being said, I hope the mods here too crack down on trolls far harder then what you see on like MMO-champ. I've seen a few here already, but nothing too major. Loving the site so far and hope to be a contributing member for some time to come.
