Is there a way to drag scavanged metals into the armstech box? There are slots but i cant drag anything to it

You shouldn't need to drag anything anywhere. Just click on the Armstech box, pick what you want to use and it will use what ever mats it needs.

You don't even need to carry them around, you can craft with stuff in your cargo hold.

thats what i thought, i ran out of arms tech missions, so do i need to visit a trainer to get more, or do they come as you level up?

You need to visit a trainer for crafting skills.

Missions and gathering skills upgrade on their own.
